Professional
Talent Portfolio
Development

Specializing in photographing talent from modeling and the performing arts disciplines, I am looking for dependable, bright, creative and expressive female talent through their 20s who are interested in headshots with impact and in developing their portfolios.  I will shoot any style of photo you wish. If you can dream it up we can give it a go with high expectations. Best of all I'm retired and do this for a hobby, so it doesn't cost anything for those who qualify!

I apply my intensive college training in photography, practical experience and in-depth knowledge of digital imaging in working with you to start or add to your portfolio with images that have punch. Watch the "real you" unfold before your very eyes in a way you've never seen yourself before.  I can say this based on glowing feedback from many of the talent who have been to photo sessions here.  Set yourselves apart from your competition queuing to acquire an agent. Already have an agent? Give him/her additional promotional material to get you auditions. Your agent has in-house photographer? No problem. Gain experience posing (performing) in an unfamiliar setting.

Not your typical Headshot!
Start with professional lighting applied professionally and add Dave's style to bring out the best of your personality.  Finish the photos with top of the line tools and experience.  Casting directors will halt when they come to your headshot and turn it over to read your resume.  Your foot is in the door!

Business Cards, Comp Cards
I'm now referring everybody to ColorCompCards.com for their Comp Cards and their business cards, which they call Minicomps.  They do a great job, and are fast and reasonable.

Portfolio Help
You can receive a boost adding to your existing or starting a new portfolio.  I can demonstrate two portfolio styles.  The 3-ring binder style with 8x10 photos in plastic sheet protectors is a versatile and inexpensive way to go.  Somewhat more cumbersome and expensive, the 11x14 screwpost binder is more elegant and professional looking.  With this arrangement the white border is trimmed off, and the photos are dry mounted directly onto matte black sheets made for the binder.  Details of these two styles can be found in the document Post Shoot Resources.
